Harley-Davidson announce 2010 model lineup

Over the weekend Harley-Davidson released details of their 2010 model line up which includes 9 new models.
The highlights are:-

The Electra Glide® Ultra Limited model delivers the performance upgrade of a Twin Cam 103™ engine, and features standard equipment items previously offered only as accessories on regular-production Harley-Davidson Touring models.

- The new Road Glide® Custom model looks lean and mean, with a slammed suspension, 18-inch front wheel and a new 2-into-1 exhaust system.

- The Wide Glide® returns as an all-new Dyna® model done in old-school chopper style, with black laced wheels, a chopped rear fender, black “wire” sissy bar, 2-1-2 Tommy Gun exhaust and an optional flame paint scheme.

- The new Street Glide® Trike brings stripped-down, hot-rod styling to the three-wheel category, and joins the Tri Glide™ Ultra Classic® in an all new Trike family for 2010.

- The new Fat Boy® Lo presents a darker and lower interpretation of the motorcycle that still defines the fat-custom segment.

- Updates to the 2010 Street Glide® model include a larger front wheel, slimmed-down exhaust, and a new tail light assembly.

- Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations™ (CVO™) will offer four new limited-production models for 2010: the CVO Softail® Convertible, CVO Street Glide, CVO Ultra Classic® Electra Glide® and CVO Fat Bob®.

As always we've some pic's of a few of the models:-

Harley-Davidson and Buell no show at 2008 NEC Bike Show!

Harley-Davidson and Buell have announced today that they will not be exhibiting at the 2009 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the Birmingham NEC later this year. This comes after Honda advised it would not be exhibiting at the show earlier this year.

Well personally this is a great shame for all UK motorcyclists, three major motorcycle marques won't now be at the show. It makes you wonder who's next to pull out and quite bizarre when the show is run by the Motor Cycle Industry Assocation whom these maufacturers support!

It means we could be left only with the MCN London Motorcycle Show as the major national motorcycle show he way things are going!!!

Harley-Davidson salutes women riders

Behind the scenes footage from Harley-Davidson's new print campaign in the June Issue of Vanity Fair that salutes women riders and encourages females who have not yet hit the road on two wheels to "experience life with no regrets." The women featured are health and wellness expert and NBCs The Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels; Grammy®-winning singer-songwriter Jewel; television and film actor Tricia Helfer; and Los Angeles rider/entrepreneur Deborah DiMiceli.

“Harley-Davidson believes that many women who read Vanity Fair will relate to the strong, confident and independent attitude of women riders. The images in the section showcase Harley-Davidson’s tradition of life-changing freedom, adventure, and camaraderie on the open road, and underscore the Motor Company’s declaration of Women Riders Month and its initiative to encourage 100,000 women to learn to ride.” - Leslie Prevish, women’s outreach manager for Harley-Davidson.
